___bluebull A number of Texans were among missionaries retiring from the International Mission Board recently. The missionaries, their places of service and length of service are: Loyd and Doris Banes, East Africa, 11 years; Charles and Mary Barham, Japan, 16 years; Fred and Linda Beck, Indonesia and South Asia, 33 years; Vestal and Carol Jean Blakely, Tanzania, 22 years; Don and Mary Alice Dolifka, Kenya, 33 years; Stan and Norma Foskett, East Asia, 11 years; Jurhee Philpot, Mexico, 35 years; Mell and Suzie Plunk, Dominican Republic, 30 years; Dwight and Lila Reagan, South Africa, 21 years; Ernest and Auttie Sibley, Malawi, 29 years; and Bob and Jerry Worley, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 34 years.

___bluebull Jeff Petillo, 10th, as minister of music and youth at First Church in Abernathy, June 1.

___bluebull A one-man drama, "Forever Changed," will be presented at Cedar Heights Church in Cedar Hill June 16 at 6:30 p.m. The drama chronicles a day in the life of Zacchaeus, the tax collector. ___Deaths
___bluebull Jack Bennett, 72, May 18 in Seymour. He had been pastor of Red Springs Church in Seymour since 1997. He worked for the Federal Civil Service 31 years and retired at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, N.M., in 1987. He became a bivocational pastor in 1976, serving numerous New Mexico churches. He and his wife, Joan, also served in Cyprus as International Service Corps volunteers. He was pastor of Larnaca Community Church there. He was preceded in death by his son, Derek. He is survived by his wife; sons, Eddie and Mark John; daughter, Thana Packard; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Shaw and Shirley Bennett; and brothers, David and Raymond.
___bluebull John Clawson, 90, May 20 in Devine. He and his wife, Gladys, were one of the couples who worked on the first church building erected by Texas Baptist Men Retiree Builders. He was a deacon at First Church in Natalia for 25 years. His wife preceded him in death.
___bluebull Mary Jo Wilburn, 80, May 24 in Watsonville, Calif. She was an emeritus Southern Baptist missionary to Uruguay. She and her husband, J.D. McMurray, were appointed by the Foreign Mission Board in 1945. After her husband's death in 1968, she transferred to the Baptist Spanish Publishing House in El Paso. She also worked in Juarez, Mexico, and Venezuela before retiring in 1988. She later married Robert Wilburn. She is survived by her husband; daughters, Candace Benson and Marilyn Frendeen; sons, Jose and James McMurray; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
