___bluebull Association names Martin. Phillip Martin has been named director of education for the National Association of Church Business Administrators. Martin, associate pastor for administration at First Baptist Church of Richardson, previously served South Main Baptist Church in Houston as senior educator/administrator.
___bluebull SBC credentials committee named. Two Texans have been named by Southern Baptist Convention President Paige Patterson to serve on this year's SBC credentials committee. The Texans are Miles Seaborn, retired pastor of Birchman Baptist Church in Fort Worth and a founder of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, and Thomas Weir, vice president for institutional advancement at Criswell College in Dallas. The committee will be chaired by Tim Christian, pastor of Island Pond Baptist Church in Hampstead, N.H.
___bluebull Tellers committee named. J.K. Minton, pastor of Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels, has been named chairman of the Southern Baptist Convention's tellers committee by SBC President Paige Patterson. He will serve alongside another Texan, Alan Shiroma, a layman from Arlington Park Baptist Church in Arlington.
