University of Mary Hardin-Baylor
Our focus is quality Christian education

___At the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, we continue to be grateful to parents for entrusting their fine young Christian men and women to our care. We feel privileged to be called as educators, and we continue to focus on quality Christian higher education.
___bluebull Academic programs. We have officially enrolled 2,566 students this fall--another record enrollment. We continue to focus on being a residential campus, with a record 1,016

students living on campus.
___Our newest degree offering is the master of science in information systems. Our health, physical education and recreation department began a restructuring by renaming itself the department of exercise and sports science.
___The Council on Social Work Education reaffirmed the department of social work's accreditation. The university established a new endowed faculty chair, the Dr. Amy LeVesconte Endowed Chair for Sciences.
___bluebull Church relations. The university had a record number of students preparing for church-related vocations. Through Baptist Student Ministries, university chapel experiences, campus revival, FOCUS worship and other ministries, countless numbers of students, faculty, staff and community individuals worshipped together at UMHB. This spring, we held our first tent revival; 27 professions of faith and two commitments to the ministry were made. This year, 83 students were involved in summer ministries such as revival teams, church development, evangelism, apartment and foreign missions. More than 5,000 Texas young people were able to experience Christ at UMHB through the state convention's Super Summer and UMHB church, sports and fine arts camps. Our second annual Senior Saints Summit also was a success.
___bluebull Student activities. The university enjoyed a significant increase in students participating in student leadership and other campus activities. UMHB students hosted the first-ever Christian Association of Student Leaders meeting, with more than 130 students from Baptist colleges in Texas and Oklahoma.
___In sports, the Lady Crusader golf team continued its tradition of success by earning a third straight berth in the national golf championship. The Crusader volleyball team won the conference title in the American Southwest Conference, and the Crusader softball team placed second in the conference.
___bluebull Thank you. We are thankful for the prayers and significant financial support of Texas Baptists through the Cooperative Program. Additionally, the continued commitment of university alumni and friends assists UMHB in her ability to meet the challenges of the 21st century. The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is committed to preparing men and women for successful careers and a lifetime of Christian service.
