New lesson writers announced
___Two pastors and an Old Testament professor will write the Baptist Standard's Bible

study lessons for the coming six months.
___bluebull Mark Bumpus, pastor of First Baptist Church in Mineral Wells, will write the Explore the Bible lessons. This series will focus on 2 Corinthians during the summer and examine passages from Leviticus and Numbers in the fall.
___Before taking the Mineral Wells pastorate, he was pastor of First Baptist Church in Troy and Pearl Baptist Church in Pearl. He also has been a chaplain intern at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
___Bumpus is a graduate of Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a member of the Baptist Standard board of directors.
___He and his wife, Earl Ann, are the parents of Katy

SUSAN PIGOTT
Elizabeth, 11, and Marshall Caleb, 9.
___bluebull Susan Pigott, assistant professor of Old Testament at Hardin-Simmons University's Logsdon School of Theology, will prepare the Family Bible Series lessons, a six-month study of Genesis.
___Pigott has taught at Hardin-Simmons since 1993 and previously was a teaching fellow at Southwestern Seminary.

She is editor of Logsdon Lines, the Logsdon School's newsletter, and Window, its ministry resource tool for pastors.
___She is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons and Southwestern Seminary.
___She is married to Kelly Pigott, pastor of SpringBrooke Church in Abilene. They have a 1-year-old son, Nathaniel David.
___bluebull Brett Younger, pastor of Lake Shore Baptist Church in Waco, will write the Life & Work lessons. They will explore "How to Renew Your Faith," "Questions About Church" and "A Life-Changing Journey."
___Prior to becoming pastor in Waco, he was pastor of churches in Kansas and Indiana.
___Younger is a graduate of Baylor University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
___He and his wife, Carol, have two sons, Graham, 10, and Caleb, 5.
